Emma Harvey

Emma is a pharmaceutical physician of nearly 20 years standing with experience in launching new products as well as lifecycle management. She worked in rare diseases at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, where as UK Medical Director she represented the company at two NICE Highly Specialised Technology Appraisals. Prior to this she spent nearly seven years at Gilead Sciences as International Medical Director for AmBisome®, during which time she led the lifecycle Project Team, overseeing the initiation of a major phase IV clinical trial, AmBiGuard, and creating the CARE (Continuing Antifungal and Research Education) programme which has been running for over 10 years. Emma trained in medicine at University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, London, where she also obtained a BSc in biochemistry. She spent 5 years in clinical practice before joining the pharmaceutical industry. Emma is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine.
