Joseph Hanvey is the current Chief Compliance Officer at FalconX. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy CCO and Senior Vice President of BSA/AML & Sanctions at GMO-Z.com Trust Company from August 2019 to July 2021. Before that, they were the Senior Representative, Head of Financial Crimes Compliance, Bermuda at Omega One from July 2018 to July 2019.

From June 2017 to May 2018, Joseph Hanvey served as the Vice President, AML Trade Surveillance at E*TRADE. In this role, they were responsible for developing and enhancing new monitoring scenarios and enhancing controls regarding AML trade surveillance managing an interdisciplinary team in AML and Trade Compliance to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Joseph was also accountable for end-to-end compliance with SAR reporting responsible for investigation process, reporting sign-off, accuracy and content of regulatory filings and restructure of a 12-person surveillance team. As a result of their work, they were able to detect, mitigate, and resolve company-wide Reporting deficiencies resulting in improved compliance for regulatory reporting.

Prior to their time at E*TRADE, Joseph Hanvey served as the Director at Protiviti from August 2014 to June 2017. Before that, they worked as a Senior Manager at Deloitte from September 2011 to September 2014.

Joseph Hanvey has a Bachelor's degree from St. John's University and a certification from Chainalysis Inc. in Chainalysis Reactor Certification.
