Chief Technology & Product Officer, Fanatics Commerce at Fanatics

As Fanatics’ Chief Technology and Product Officer, Ramana oversees the organization’s global technology and mobile strategies and execution, which include the continued growth and innovation of product development and data capabilities for both the consumer and partner sides of the business. Prior to his current role, Ramana was SVP of Software Engineering for Fanatics and oversaw the company’s full slate of global e-commerce and experiences platforms, including marketing technology, engineering and data science, order management, and supply chain systems divisions. Ramana led the execution of Fanatics’ transformative Cloud Commerce Platform (CCP) and the data eco-system around CCP, which has re-invented the company’s core global e-commerce and mobile capabilities to create a seamless, real-time shopping experience for fans worldwide.

A 20-year tech industry veteran, prior to joining Fanatics Ramana spent 10 years at eBay, where he started as a software engineer and ascended to Senior Director of Engineering. While at eBay, he led the advertising, Analytics , data and personalization platforms that powered the company’s global growth efforts. Ramana has also previously held software engineer positions with Cisco and Tata Unisys. A native of India, he received his undergraduate degree from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and a postgraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay. Ramana lives in the Bay Area with his wife and two kids, and is an avid tennis and basketball fan who roots for Rafael Nadal and the Golden State Warriors.
