Brett Shirk

Brett Shirk is Chief Revenue Officer at Fastly, the global edge cloud platform, where he is responsible for developing and driving Fastly’s global sales and client services strategy. He was previously Chief Revenue Officer at Rubrik, the market leader in Cloud Data Management.

Brett has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry with a successful background that includes executive business planning to meet complex and changing market needs, global sales organization and process design, and building strong customer and partner executive relationships.

Previously, Brett was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Americas for VMware where he was responsible for strategic planning, business operations, go-to-market strategy, and management of VMware’s business in Latin America, the United States, and Canada.

Prior to VMware, Brett was Senior Vice President of the Americas sales organization at Veritas Technologies, the largest geographic market for the company. Brett spent 14 years at Symantec (and Veritas following the separation of Veritas from Symantec), eventually becoming Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Veritas Technologies. Brett also held sales and leadership roles at BMCSoftware. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
