Shamsideen Fashola

Shamsideen Fashola is a professional Banker with over 25 years of experience in Finance, Marketing Research, Marketing, Strategy, Internal Control, Compliance, Risk Management and Retail Banking. He has spent his last 20 working years in the Financial Service Industry across different banks and Global Financial Institutions.

He started his debut into the banking sector in January 2000 where he sharpened his skills in Compliance, Product Development and Management. In 2008, he rose to the position of Divisional Head and Vice President. In 2013, Shamsideen joined FCMB as Head, Liability Products and Classic Segment with responsibility for Retail Liability products and he has successfully led and delivered several high revenue impact start-up projects in Retail Banking space in digital banking, Financial Inclusion, Agency Banking Product Development etc.

Shamsideen is a graduate from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, where he obtained both his B.Sc. in Accounting and MBA in Marketing. He has other certifications in Strategic Management from Harvard University, and Strategy from Lagos Business School. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Retail Banking (FIARB) London, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (FCA) and a life Honorary Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB). He has also participated in several local and international conferences, hands-on trainings and marketing and Business Strategy Training in Canada, USA, Italy, Ghana, Liberia, Spain, UK and South Africa.
