Dr. Michael Deer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aviation and information technology. Currently serving as a Manager and Project Manager at the Federal Aviation Administration since October 2014, Dr. Deer co-leads strategic initiatives focusing on safety and counsels leadership to implement transformational strategies aligned with agency goals. Previously, Dr. Deer held various roles at the FAA, including Program Analyst, where impactful information system projects were led, and Management Program Analyst, overseeing significant work tracking applications. Before joining the FAA, Dr. Deer founded an IT consulting business, Intrakit Designs, offering diverse technological solutions, and served as an Information System Analyst in the US Army, where leadership of IT professionals ensured mission capability.
