Jim Graves has extensive experience in legal and technical roles, currently serving as an Attorney Advisor at the Federal Communications Commission in the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau and previously in the Enforcement Bureau. Prior positions include Staff Attorney and Clinical Teaching Fellow at the Institute for Public Representation, Law & Technology Fellow at the Electronic Privacy Information Center, and Summer Research Fellow at the Federal Trade Commission. Jim Graves has also held clerkships, including at the Minnesota Supreme Court, and has academic credentials that include a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, an LL.M. in Advocacy from Georgetown University Law Center, and a JD, summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. Additionally, Jim Graves has a strong background in security, having led teams in assessments and reviews at NetSPI and worked as a Lead Network Architect at US Bank.
