Sarah Fordney

Sarah Fordney is the vice president of Communications + Experience at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. In this role, Sarah leads a team that is dedicated to telling the story of the Bank’s work, unleashing the power of its brand, and bringing its strategy to life in meaningful, memorable, and relatable ways. She oversees the SF Fed’s Brand + Content Strategy, Brand Management + Creative, Digital Marketing Channels, Executive Communications, and Employee Communications + Experience teams.

Sarah joined the Bank in 2017 and previously served in marketing and communications roles in the financial services industry and in the government. She was the head of marketing and communications for the Commercial Banking Group at Bank of the West, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, and in multiple marketing and communications positions at Goldman Sachs, including serving as director of Executive and Internal Communications for the firm’s Investment Management Division. Prior to that, Sarah spent more than seven years in government roles, working in the United States Department of Treasury, on the 1992 Clinton Gore Presidential campaign, and on Capitol Hill for the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee.
