Jennifer Sopko is an experienced editor, author, and writer specializing in local history and community events in Western Pennsylvania. Currently serving as the Editor of Westmoreland History Magazine since February 2020, Jennifer also authors books for The History Press USA, including a forthcoming title on lost amusement parks, and has published works such as "Idlewild: History and Memories of Pennsylvania’s Oldest Amusement Park" and "Ligonier Valley Vignettes: Tales from the Laurel Highlands." As a contributing writer, Jennifer has contributed to various publications, including the Latrobe Bulletin and the Senator John Heinz History Center’s Western Pennsylvania History magazine. In addition, self-employment as Jennifer Sopko, Writer & Historian, allows for the creation of professionally researched pieces across multiple platforms. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Vincent College, Jennifer brings a robust background in writing, editing, and local history documentation to every project.
