Maribel Vega Ruiz

Maribel Vega Ruiz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in foresight, innovation management, and R&D across various sectors. Currently serving as the Foresight lead in Open Innovation at Ferrovial Corporación, Maribel has developed and managed numerous foresight projects focusing on future mobility and energy systems. Previous roles include project manager at Fundación CI3, where oversight of innovation projects took place, and head of the Department of Innovation Management at FCC Servicios Ciudadanos, where coordination of R&D activities for multiple business sectors was key. Maribel's formative years included significant contributions to national and international R&D projects at FCC Construction and gaining expertise in engineering through roles at CSIC and other institutions. Maribel's educational background includes a PhD in Mining Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and advanced training in innovation and leadership from prominent institutions like Saïd Business School and EOI Business School.
