Sharon McKinney

Sharon McKinney is an experienced tax professional currently serving as Senior Vice President Global Tax Manager at FinTrU since February 2024. Prior to this role, Sharon worked at HM Revenue & Customs from November 2015 to January 2024 as a Senior Investigator and Operational Lead in the Fraud Investigation Service, specializing in complex civil investigations. From March 2007 to November 2015, Sharon held the position of Tax Manager at Jones Peters Chartered Accountants, overseeing cross tax planning and compliance services, and advising on mergers and acquisitions. Sharon began a career in tax at Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, where as Tax Manager from June 1999 to March 2007, the tax department was developed significantly. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Queens University Belfast, completed between 1996 and 1999, and membership certifications from the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Taxation Technicians.
