John Carr

John Carr is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in embedded systems and software development. Currently serving as a Sr. Embedded Systems Engineer at FIRST RF since May 2025, John previously held the position of Sr. Embedded Software Engineer at Ubiquiti Inc., where responsibilities included coordinating with hardware teams and managing tasks to streamline product development. Prior to that, John worked as an Embedded Software Engineer 2 at Northrop Grumman, focusing on device driver creation for Linux and VxWorks. With a solid foundation in embedded systems from various roles at Northrop Grumman and a leadership position in the Solar Gators project team, John holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
