John Hartelius

John Hartelius, PE, serves as the Director of Site Development and Array Layouts at First Solar, responsible for overseeing the site design and development of photovoltaic projects globally, with a track record of completing 80 gigawatts of solar designs for bidding and acquisitions since December 2006. Prior to this role, John Hartelius was a Solar Photovoltaic Consultant in April 2017 and worked as a Senior Project Manager at Merck from September 1980 to June 2006, where extensive experience in master planning, site land development design, and project management was gained across various multi-million dollar projects. John Hartelius holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Old Dominion University.
