Justin Pate

Justin Pate is the Senior Vice President of Global Business Development and Marketing at First Transit. Justin has held this position since August 2017. In this role, they lead the business development, strategy, and marketing efforts for First Transit globally. This includes transit, shared autonomous vehicles (SAV), mobility as a service, fleet vehicle services, and emerging markets growth. Justin also serves on the Executive Management Committee as part of the group leadership team responsible for establishing the strategic direction, innovation, and product offerings of First Transit and FirstGroup plc.

Pate has over 15 years of experience in managing business development and sales teams across various mobility and logistics verticals. Justin previously served as the Vice President of Business Development at MV Transportation from December 2011 to August 2017. In this role, they were responsible for providing services to both public and private institutions. Prior to that, they were the Director at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts from August 2007 to December 2011. Justin started their career as an Associate at PwC in January 2001 and left in December 2002.

Justin Pate attended Trinity Christian Academy before going to Baylor University for their undergraduate degree in Business/Managerial Economics. Justin then went on to The Culinary Institute of America for their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Business Management. Finally, they completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Justin Pate reports to Brad Thomas, President. They are on a team with Gregg Baxter - VP, Rail and Emerging Technologies, Julie Hein - Director, Healthcare Compliance, and Tim McCann - SVP, East Region.
