Lawson Thomas is a seasoned security and public safety executive with over two decades of leadership experience. Currently serving as the Administrative Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police at FirstHealth of the Carolinas, they oversee all aspects of public safety management. In addition, Lawson has held the position of Police Captain for the Town of Vass since 2021 and has previously served as Chief of Police for the Town of Robbins. They also have extensive experience in IT support for public safety products at Southern Software, Inc., and have held roles with the United States Department of Defense and the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. Lawson earned a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Liberty University in 2020.
