Gary Townsend

Gary Townsend is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in consolidation and financial reporting. Currently serving as Finance Director at Fitch Ratings since January 2012, Gary has held various roles including Senior Manager and Statutory and Regulatory Reporting Manager, focusing on statutory compliance across EMEA, Asia, and Latin America, and liaising with external auditors. Previous experience includes positions at McDonald's Corporation as Senior Financial Accountant and Crowe Horwath LLP as Audit Senior. Gary holds an Honours degree in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Bachelor of Commerce from Rhodes University, complemented by training from the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
