Steve Figliuolo

Steve Figliuolo joined Flagstar Bank in June 2014 as chief risk officer. In this role, he is responsible for the governance and corporate oversight of Flagstar’s safety and soundness policies and practices.

He is a seasoned bank executive with more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry and a strong background in enterprise risk management. Prior to Flagstar, he served as executive vice president and chief risk officer of Citizens Republic Bank, a position he held for eight years.

He also held executive positions with Fleet Boston Financial-Summit Bank, First Union National Bank, and Chase Manhattan Bank. During his career, he has managed a number of activities, including commercial and consumer loan operations. Other areas of experience include compliance, process flow management, and risk reduction through improved controls.

Mr. Figliuolo has served as a panelist and speaker at various banking industry forums on risk management, regulatory compliance, and compensation risk.
