Fleming Insurance Holdings (“Fleming”) specializes in legacy reinsurance and casualty insurance linked securities. We have a proven track record of innovation and profitable legacy transactions. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Claims Officer and help drive our continued growth and success of the Company. Fleming is based in Bermuda but conducts business globally. Fleming is looking to hire a CO who will report to the CEO. The candidate will need to be a self-starter with drive and ambition to grow with this rapidly expanding group.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Serve as a member of the senior management of the company.
Regularly contribute to board meetings and discussions with capital providers.
Lead the pricing of loss portfolio transfers and adverse development covers.
Evaluate corporate acquisitions using proprietary ROE and Cashflow models.
Manage relationships with brokers and corporate bankers and assist in final negotiations for the successful binding of transactions with clients.
Evaluate and manage business assumed by the Bermuda legal entity and advise senior management and the board of directors on the actuarial central estimate and reserve movements on a quarterly basis.
Manage the relationship between the company and the Bermuda Monetary Authority, lead the process for submission of the Bermuda solvency capital model and company surveys, and provide the supporting documentation for the prior approval process of transactions assumed by the company.
Work closely with the finance and investment teams to properly account for the business assumed by the company in the quarterly financials.
Perform capital modeling to assess the impact of potential transactions on the company’s solvency capital ratio, perform risk transfer analysis of transactions and provide transfer pricing documentation.
Assist senior management in planning, risk management and ad hoc projects.
100% telecommuting permitted from anywhere in United States. 15% domestic and international travel.
Education Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related
Experience Requirement:
10 years of experience in Actuary, Risk Analysis, or Actuarial Management
Special Skills:
Salary: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00
