Shadi Khatib

Shadi Khatib has over 20 years of experience in the information technology industry. Shadi is currently the Chief Information Officer at Flexiti, a position they have held for 2 years and 4 months. Prior to their current role, they were a Member of the Board of Directors for the CIO Association of Canada for 12 years. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing strategies around increasing member acquisition and member retention by defining value proposition and using data analytics to determine gaps, areas of interest and member engagement and build marketing strategies accordingly.

Before their time at the CIO Association of Canada, Shadi was the Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at goeasy Ltd., where they were a member of the executive team with overall responsibility for leading a forward-thinking technology strategy and roadmap with focus on creating differentiation in the market place through digital transformation, customer experience, data analytics and new product development. Shadi supported both the easyhome (retail consumer business) and easyfinancial services (consumer lending business) and enabled the achievement of fastest revenue growth targets in company’s history through diligent execution of projects and initiatives and tight alignment with the business teams. Shadi also led the digital transformation initiatives to achieve best in class customer experience and launch new products for all channels.

Shadi has also held the role of General Manager at System Micro Technology and Consulting Corp for 2 years and 3 months, as well as General Manager & Vice President, Pharmacy Technology Solutions at McKesson Canada for 1 year and 8 months. Her other notable roles include Vice President, Information Technology at Brink’s for 4 years and 3 months, as well as Director, Application Services at CIBC for 2 years and 9 months.

Shadi Khatib attended Ryerson University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1998-2002. Their field of study was Commerce and Information Technology.
