Sara Sutton started FlexJobs in 2007 when she was pregnant with her first child because she was looking for a job that would allow her to both stay on her career track and be the parent she wanted to be. She discovered quickly how challenging it was to find professional jobs that offered any kind of work flexibility. But she wasn’t ready to give up… far from it! She knew that she wanted a better job site for better jobs, and she knew she wasn’t alone—that there were millions of others who wanted this, too. Because it didn’t seem to exist, she decided to create it!
