Mario Ruiz

Mario Ruiz has an extensive background in electrical engineering and operations management, with over four decades of experience in the sugar and industrial sectors. Currently serving as Sr Manager of Mill Operations at Florida Crystals since August 1999, Mario oversees the Electrical and Instrument Departments at Okeelanta Corporation Sugar Mill and Refinery. Prior experience includes roles as an Automation Engineer at Instituto de Proyectos Azucareros, where Mario designed electrical distribution and automation systems for sugar mills, and as a Gestor Central de Inversiones at the Ministry of Commerce, involved in the design and construction of cold storage facilities. Mario's early career featured engineering positions at the Industrial Gases Plant and Moa Nickel Plant, focusing on electrical maintenance and power distribution systems. Educationally, Mario holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electrification from Instituto Superior Politecnico Jose A. Echevarria.
