Flosonics Medical is looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude to support the Finance department.
The  Accounting Manager will work closely with and report to the Senior Director of Finance. This is a great opportunity to support a growing company’s operations, grow with the company and be exposed to various areas of accounting, finance and payroll.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage full cycle accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, payroll, inventory recognition etc.

  • Assist with month-end close procedures by preparing various month-end journal entries related to sales, accruals, intercompany transactions and other operational areas.

  • Lead, oversee, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all related tasks, including note disclosures.

  • Prepare, review, and analyze consolidated financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements) to ensure accuracy

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly variance analysis, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Proactively drive improvements in financial reporting processes, suggesting and implementing improvements aligned with best practices.

  • Lead the enhancement of inventory valuation process, collaborating across departments to strengthen inventory tracking and reporting mechanisms.

  • Conduct technical accounting research for complex business transactions and execute findings through preparation of accounting memos.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including government reporting for sales tax, income tax, and corporate filings (e.g., SRED).

  • Act as the primary liaison for external audits, including planning and execution for interim and annual audits.

  • Oversee adherence to accounting policies and audit procedures, ensuring accurate and compliant financial transactions.

  • Oversee tax compliance activities, including preparing provisions, income tax returns, and transfer pricing analysis, in collaboration with external tax consultants.

  • Manage external relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and government authorities to optimize financial operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, to align financial goals with company objectives.

  • Supervise and monitor the cash management process, including cash flow and bank transaction approvals.

  • Administer and track the ESOP program, ensuring proper payouts and compliance with documentation requirements.

  • Prepare grant claims for reimbursement, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and maintaining proper documentation for submissions.

  • Actively identify future business needs and ensure finance processes support scalability.

  • Oversee and suggest improvements to internal and finance controls and processes to contribute to operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Oversee audits with government agencies and ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team to align capabilities and output with organizational goals.

  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

  • Provide support on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and other ad-hoc finance-related projects to support company growth.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • CPA designation (preferred) or nearing completion.

  • Experience with ASPE, US GAAP

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively.

  • Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency organizations.

  • 4-5+ years of experience in the accounting field.
