Juan Gómez-Reino

Juan Gómez-Reino was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer at FNZ in July 2022. In this role, he is responsible for leading their Global Delivery, Operations and Technology functions to support the development of FNZ’s market-leading platform.

Prior to joining FNZ, Juan was the Chief Technology Officer at Lloyds Banking Group. Juan joined LBG in November 2014, initially as the COO for Consumer Finance before moving into the Insurance and Wealth division in May 2016 as CIO and Transformation Director.

Juan also held several senior Technology and Operations roles at Santander UK and Banco Santander, latterly reporting to the Group’s CRO and COO with responsibility for balance sheet management, liquidity, funds transfer pricing and asset‐backed funding.

Juan started his professional career at PriceWaterhouse (now PWC) and was one of the first few employees at Inversis, a banking .com experience which is still live.

Juan graduated from the Rotterdam Business School in 1994 (BA in Economics and Business Administration), has an MSc in Finance from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a BSc in Mathematics from UNED. He is a Stanford alumnus, having followed the Executive Programme at the Graduate School of Business in 2011. Juan is a life-long learner, and has a passion for getting tough things done with people.
