Colleen Kennedy

Colleen Kennedy, PhD, currently serves as the Senior Communications Manager at Folger Shakespeare Library since May 2024. With extensive experience in arts and culture journalism, Colleen contributes as a Writer for DC Theater Arts and Arlington Magazine, alongside a role as Contributing Writer for Washington City Paper and District Fray Magazine. Previous positions include Publications Editor at Baltimore Museum of Art and Director of Communications for National History Day. Colleen has also held roles such as Associate Director of Communications for Shakespeare Theatre Company, where a strong focus on public relations and stakeholder engagement was emphasized. Additionally, Colleen has experience as a Teaching Artist, instructing in Shakespearean studies. Educational credentials include a PhD from The Ohio State University, an MA from the University at Buffalo, and a BA from the University at Buffalo in Classics.
