Mona Chaya

Mona Chaya has extensive experience in agricultural emergency and rehabilitation projects, primarily with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) from January 2002 to September 2003, where roles included Senior Coordinator managing initiatives in Afghanistan, Uganda, and Sri Lanka following significant crises. Chaya's responsibilities encompassed fundraising, program coordination, and strategic leadership, in addition to serving as FAO Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina and contributing to various missions to develop agricultural programs in conflict-affected regions such as Lebanon and the Philippines. Earlier, Chaya worked at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) as a Research Assistant, focusing on chickpea research and scientific publication editing. Education was completed at the University of Geneva between 1989 and 1995.
