Chapter Leader at Food Recovery Network

Aliza Kopans is a dedicated student at Brown University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health, with significant leadership experience in various roles. Currently, Aliza serves as a Tour Guide and a Meiklejohn Program Leader at Brown, collaborating with peers and Deans to oversee the Meiklejohn Peer Advising Program. In the ongoing role as a Peer Career Advisor and Camp Counselor with Kesem, Aliza focuses on creating supportive environments for children affected by cancer. Aliza's leadership is further demonstrated as Chapter Leader for the Food Recovery Network and through co-founding Tech(nically) Politics, which advocates for youth involvement in digital regulation. Aliza has also contributed to campaigns aimed at enhancing digital safety for children, serving on the Youth Advisory Board for Fairplay’s Screen Time Action Network. Prior experiences include internships at East Boston Social Centers and Accountable Tech, along with roles in education and advocacy at Arlington Community Education and LookUp.
