Michael McGill

Michael McGill is a distinguished educator with extensive experience in school leadership and innovation. Currently serving as a Visiting Clinical Professor and Director at the Metropolitan School Council at Fordham University since July 2015, McGill focuses on graduate student instruction in school district leadership and oversees a network of diverse schools to promote exemplary practices in public education. Previous roles include Director of Programs for Leadership and Innovation at Bankstreet College and over a decade as Superintendent at Scarsdale Public Schools and North Shore School District. McGill began a career in education as a Teacher of English at Lexington Public Schools and has held several leadership positions, including Headmaster at Hopkins School and Superintendent/Principal at Mt. Greylock Regional School District. Academic credentials include an EdD in Education Leadership and a MAT in English Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and an AB in English from Williams College.
