Catherin Becerra

Catherin Becerra is a seasoned professional specializing in climate action policy and renewable energy. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Climate Action Policy at FortisBC since March 2020, Catherin leads initiatives aimed at advancing corporate emission reduction strategies and engaging with government stakeholders on energy policies. Previous roles include Manager of Climate Action Policy and Public Policy Manager, where Catherin was instrumental in developing corporate climate action initiatives and tracking GHG emission reduction targets. Prior to FortisBC, Catherin worked at Suncor Energy as Program Manager for Climate Action Partners, where responsibilities included managing major contracts for wind projects and overseeing customer emission reduction initiatives. Catherin's experience extends to roles at Apache Corporation and H&R Transport Limited, emphasizing project management, contract negotiation, and sustainability programs. Educational achievements include a Master’s degree in International Energy from Sciences Po and a Bachelor’s in International Business from Mount Royal University, complemented by SCMP designation in Supply Chain Management.
