Vikas Mohan Sharma

Vikas Mohan Sharma is a seasoned medical professional with extensive experience in the fields of neuroscience and ophthalmology. Currently serving as the Global Head for Neuroscience and Ophthalmology at Fortrea since December 2023, Vikas plays a pivotal role in clinical trial management and healthcare innovation. With over a decade of experience as an Ethics Review Expert for the European Research Council, Vikas has contributed to various ethics panels under significant research programs. Previously, Vikas held the position of Corporate Vice President at Boehringer Ingelheim, overseeing global clinical development in CNS and related areas. Vikas's career also includes leadership roles at Quintiles, addressing medical ethics, research governance, and medical advisory across Asia Pacific. Vikas began their medical career as a Consultant Psychiatrist at VIMHANS in New Delhi, and holds an MD in Psychological Medicine and an MBBS from esteemed medical institutions in India, complemented by a Mini MBA in Business Development through Innovation from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
