Tracie Cook has over 25 years of experience in the finance and accounting field. Tracie began their career in 1995 as an Accountant at Computer Marketing Associates, where they managed various general accounting tasks, maintained and updated journals, ledgers, and records detailing financial transactions, and managed various project type costs and contracts. In 2010, they became a Tax Accountant at RICHARD A HALL, where they prepared various complex personal tax returns using Lacerte Software, prepared work papers, and collaborated on tax strategies for high income clients. Later in 2010, they became the Controller at ABSC, where they financially managed 16 active contracts, developed pricing and costing proposals, and implemented standardized job costing and labor rate development. In 2013, they became the Director of Finance at Coalfire, where they completed a successful implementation of JAMIS Prime time and expense, project management and General Ledger system, and completed a DCAA Accounting System audit with an adequate rating obtained. In 2018, they became the VP Finance and Contracts and then the Director of Finance and Contracts at IT Concepts, Inc., where they were responsible for the maintenance of UNANET accounting system and processes, ensuring compliance with Government requirements, and working with stakeholders in developing tactical and strategic budgets. Currently, they are the Director of Finance at Fortreum, where they are responsible for the implementation of UNANET accounting system and processes, working with stakeholders in developing tactical and strategic budgets, and providing monthly analysis of results and trends and providing forecasts.
Tracie Cook obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from Virginia Tech between 1987 and 1991. Tracie also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the VA Board of Accountancy, as well as a Pricing to WIn/Winning the Cost Volume certification from Shipley.
