Veera Jämsén

Veera Jämsén currently serves as the Head of HSSEQ for Renewables and Decarbonisation at Fortum, a Nordic energy company, since September 2022. Prior to this role, Veera was the SSHQ-manager for Heating & Cooling Finland, overseeing energy provision to around 250,000 users with a commitment to carbon-neutral district heating. From August 2019 to September 2022, Veera held the position of Director at Fintraffic, focusing on traffic control and management services, and also served as the Corporate Safety Manager at Fintraffic, where the unification of safety functions was a key responsibility. Veera has experience as a Corporate Safety Manager at Finrail Oy and has held various safety and training roles within the Finnish Defence Forces and the Finnish Association of Fire Officers. Educational qualifications include a Master of Administrative Sciences from the University of Eastern Finland, a BBA in Security and Risk Management from Laurea UAS, and a Specialist Qualification in Management from Rastor-instituutti.
