Phong Nguyen

Phong Nguyen is a seasoned leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence, currently serving as the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at FPT Software since August 2019, where a new AI Laboratory has been established as an R&D Center. In addition, Phong Nguyen has been a visiting researcher at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute since May 2019 and maintains an affiliation with Hitachi Ltd. Previous experience includes a role as a researcher and data analyst at Hitachi from May 2013 to February 2022, focusing on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Indoor Positioning, and AI applications in robotics and infrastructure. Phong Nguyen also contributed to the International Conference on Indoor Positioning and Indoor Navigation as Deputy Program Chair and has academic experience as a teaching assistant at Carnegie Mellon University. Phong Nguyen holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Tokyo and a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University.
