Charbel Habchi

Charbel Habchi is a Mechanics and Thermal Hydraulics Analysis Engineer in R&D at Framatome since September 2023. As a Research Collaborator at the Structures-Computer Interaction Lab of UCLA since May 2020, Charbel focuses on machine learning-assisted resistive force theory for soft robot modeling. Previously, Charbel served as a Research and Development Engineer at the Centre national de la recherche scientifique, where the role involved fluid-structure interaction modeling of active nuclear fuel assemblies. An experienced academic, Charbel held positions as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Notre Dame University - Louaize and as a visiting researcher at institutions such as Polytech Angers and Caltech. Charbel earned a PhD in Turbulent Mixing and Heat Transfer Phenomena, an HDR in Mechanical Engineering, and multiple master's degrees, including in Thermal Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
