Miki Aso

Co-Founder & Design and Research at Friends

Miki Aso is a Japanese designer and researcher who is currently the co-founder and design head of Friends, a Japanese social media company. Miki has also worked as a design strategist at Veryday, a Swedish people-focused design innovation company, and as a design research associate in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's Strategic Planning and Innovation group. In 2010, they interned at ioby, an environmental nonprofit.


Miki Aso received a Bachelor's of Science in Service Design & Environmental Studies from Parsons School of Design - The New School. Miki also holds a Metal and Jewelry Arts Certificate from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London.
