Katie Collins joins G2G Consulting as Government Affairs Director
In her role, Collins will lead G2G's efforts to build strong connections between federal, state, and local advocacy networks to further develop healthcare, bioscience, and high-tech policies and industries.
Collins joins G2G from ACT for NIH, where she was the Director of Policy for the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit advocacy organization, which is focused on improving biomedical research funding. She previously served as a Program Director at the Biden Cancer Initiative and held leadership roles during the Obama Administration, including Deputy Director of Operations for the Executive Residence and Policy Associate with the White House Cancer Moonshot Task Force.
In a press release, Powell said, "Katie knows how to connect the dots in ways few can. I'm looking forward to seeing her deliver high-quality government affairs services to our clients, some of whom are outside Ohio, and make connections to foster more innovation, collaboration and growth that ultimately makes a difference."
Collins stated, "I've had access to some really incredible people over the years through my work with Vice President Biden, and that has enabled me to instigate systemic change in non-conventional ways. My goal is to bring these innovative approaches to government engagement to G2G and the clients they serve, and most especially to Cleveland."
Collins is particularly interested in access-to-care policies as well as issues affecting Cleveland's minority and economically distressed communities.
