Rain Rannu

Rain Rannu has had a diverse range of work experiences in the startup and investment sectors. Rain is currently working as a Film Director, Producer, and Investor at Tallifornia, where they create author-driven feature films and manages the first private film fund in Estonia. Rain is also the Founding Partner at Superangel, an early stage investment fund and company builder. Rain Rannu has been involved with Inbank AS as a Member of the Supervisory Board since 2015. As an Angel Investor, they have made seed and early stage investments in various European and US startups with global ambitions. Rain Rannu is the Co-Founder and Partner at Mobi Solutions, an incubator for tech companies, and has played a critical role in the spin-offs Fortumo and Messente. Rain has also been actively involved with Garage48 Foundation as a Co-Founder and Member of the Supervisory Board, which organizes boot-camp style events to build new services. Additionally, Rain Rannu is the Co-Founder of 1oT and Messente Communications Ltd., where they have been instrumental in developing powerful API solutions for business-critical messaging and 2-factor authentication. Lastly, Rain Rannu founded Fortumo, a mobile payments service available in over 90 countries, and served as its CEO until 2014. Rain was also a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Estonian Startup Leaders Club, a networking organization for founders and active managers of Estonian startup companies.

Rain Rannu pursued their education in Estonia, specifically at the University of Tartu. From 1998 to 2002, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Social Sciences with a specialization in Public Administration. Following this, they furthered their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management from 2004 to 2007.
