Paul Tierney

Paul Tierney is an experienced safety and environmental professional with a strong background in safety systems and asset integrity within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Safety Systems Engineer at Gas Networks Ireland since February 2016, Paul has also held roles such as Asset Integrity Engineer. Prior experience includes positions at the Commission for Energy Regulation, where Paul worked from August 2012 to February 2016 as a Petroleum Safety Regulatory Manager and Safety Analyst. Earlier career contributions include serving as the Group Environmental, Health and Safety Officer and Environmental Geologist at O'Connor Sutton Cronin, and as a Principal Consultant at White Young Green. Paul’s academic qualifications include an MSc in Environmental, Health and Safety Management from Technological University Dublin, a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and a BSc in Earth Science from the University of Galway.
