Nzenalu Obinelo has held various leadership roles in the field of social services and healthcare. Starting as a Social Worker at The Hospital for Sick Children in 1991, Nzenalu progressed to become a Therapist at New Alternatives in 1997. Nzenalu later served as a Director of Family Services, Vice President of Individual and Family Services, and Executive Vice President of Programs at Gateways Community Services. In 2023, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Vista Autism Services, overseeing strategic direction and organizational growth. Additionally, Nzenalu graduated from Leadership New Hampshire in 2014, developing a network of informed leaders and addressing key state-wide issues.

Nzenalu Obinelo completed a High School Honours Diploma in Human Services from Park Collegiate Institute in 1985. Nzenalu then went on to earn a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Windsor - Assumption University in 1990.
