Keith Akers

Keith has over 10 years of experience in the energy industry, with a primary focus on project and land development. As SVP of Real Estate and Finance for Geenex, he focuses on early-stage project development and project financing. Prior to Geenex, Keith was the VP of Development at Syncarpha Capital, a developer and long-term owner of DG solar assets throughout the US. He also spent four years in Texas working for an oil and gas land services company, spending the majority of his time in the Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale, and West Texas / Permian Basin. Keith is a native Ohioan and proud two-time graduate of Duke University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree and his MBA from the Fuqua School of Business.
