Jim Hammonds

Jim Hammonds has over two decades of experience in law enforcement and insurance investigations. Currently serving as an SIU Major Case Manager at GEICO since June 2003, Jim has held various leadership roles, including SIU Regional Manager and Major Case Supervisor. From March 2012 to March 2022, Jim was the Chapter President of GA IASIU. Prior experience includes serving as a Police Sergeant at the Decatur Police Department from June 1994 to June 2003 and as an MAA/DC in the US Navy Reserve from 1992 to 2000. Academic qualifications include ongoing studies for a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management from Georgia Military College, along with a Criminal Justice degree from Chattahoochee Technical College and additional education at Strayer University and Reinhardt University.
