Pal T. Naess

VP Growth Projects at Gelato

Pal T. Naess has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Starting in 1997, they worked as a Consultant and Principal at AMS Management Systems, focusing on the functional design and test of billing systems. Pal T. later relocated to the US to join the North American sales team, concluding a significant sale to BellSouth.

In 2001, Naess became a Consultant and Manager at Netcom Consultants AB, where they led projects for Tele2 Europe's central billing organization and served as the director of billing for Tele2 France.

From 2003 to 2006, they worked as the Director of Billing and IT at Tele2 Norway, responsible for all billing in Tele2 Nordic and managing the region's billing and IT operations.

In 2006, Naess joined Gelato (formerly Optimalprint) as the COO, overseeing the online printing company's operations and cost efficiency. In this role, they designed a fully scalable billing and payment system.

Pal T. then held various roles at Innovation Norway from 2013 to 2019, including Director of Entrepreneurs and Startups, Director of Innovation Norway Canada, and Senior Advisor. Pal T. also served on several boards and election committees.

In 2019, Naess returned to Gelato as the VP Growth Projects, contributing to the company's mission of empowering the creator economy through local production and delivery of customized items.

In 2019, they also became an Advisory Board Member at SHE Community, a community dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs.

Finally, in 2023, Naess became a Board Member at Abelia, a non-profit organization focused on improving the business environment in Norway's knowledge and technology-based sectors.

Pal T. Naess completed their International Baccalaureate at Berg Videregående Skole from 1987 to 1990. Pal T. then pursued an MSc in Mechanics and Project Management at Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse from 1990 to 1996.
