Teemu Pohjola

Teemu Pohjola has extensive experience in the field of identity and security technology, currently serving as R&D Director at Thales Digital Identity and Security since June 2005, where responsibilities include managing an ID card and passport product portfolio, overseeing technology roadmaps, and coordinating new product development projects. Prior to this, Teemu held various roles, including Director of Product Management and R&D Manager, having started as a Senior Systems Specialist after the acquisition of Setec Oy by Gemplus. Teemu's earlier experience includes serving as Patent Manager at Setec Oy, where responsibilities centered around patent management and invention screening, and Research Manager at Oplayo Oy, focusing on video compression technology. Teemu holds a PhD in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Helsinki University of Technology and a Master of Engineering degree from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
