Yuan-Sheng Lee

Senior Mechanical Engineer at GenMark Diagnostics

Yuan-Sheng Lee has an extensive background in mechanical engineering. Yuan-Sheng worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at GenMark Diagnostics, where they led a product characterization project and supervised a team of engineers and research associates. Prior to that, they worked at OCT Medical Imaging, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer, where they designed assemblies and components for OCT-IVUS imaging probes and developed fixtures for prototyping. Yuan-Sheng also invented a new metal cap design for the imaging probe and manufactured and assembled cardiovascular imaging catheter prototypes.

Yuan-Sheng Lee has also worked at the University of Washington as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they developed a 3D printed microvalve structure and implemented it into a micro-mixer design. Yuan-Sheng also worked as a Teaching Assistant during their time at the University.

In addition, Lee has experience as an R&D Engineer at VSENSE Ltd, where they focused on developing a myocardial infarction detection IVD device with digital microfluidic control technology. Yuan-Sheng led the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical chip project, collaborated with multiple companies, and proposed a new digital microfluidic design.

Lastly, Lee worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at National Taiwan University, where they conducted research in two different roles.

Yuan-Sheng Lee completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University between 2011 and 2015. Yuan-Sheng then pursued a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington from 2016 to 2018.
