Michael Weist is currently a Principal Scientist in R&D and Pre-Clinical at GenVivo, Inc., where they have worked since 2025. Previously, they were a Senior Scientist in Analytical Development at Lyell Immunopharma and a Scientist at ImmPACT Bio. Weist has a rich background in research, having served as a Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan and as a Ph.D. Candidate and Postdoctoral Fellow at City of Hope, focusing on imaging and cell trafficking. They hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the Irell & Manella Graduate School and dual degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
