Vanessa Correa

Vanessa Correa is a seasoned higher education professional with extensive experience in academic advising, diversity and inclusion, and program management. Currently serving as Director of Advising at George Mason University’s Honors College, Vanessa has previously held multiple advisory and leadership roles within the university, as well as positions at Northern Virginia Community College and Georgetown University, where efforts focused on supporting first-generation college students. Vanessa’s career also includes research and program coordination with organizations such as The Urban Institute and Police Foundation, alongside teaching roles in criminal justice. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Justice, Law, and Society from American University.
