Ian S. is currently an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology since August 2022, pursuing a PhD in Computational Science & Engineering with a focus on Materials Science & Engineering. Prior to this, Ian served as a Research Statistician Co-op Intern and Glass Development Intern at Corning Incorporated, where responsibilities included designing and implementing relational databases for mechanical properties data and developing graphical interfaces for data visualization. Ian's academic background includes a Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Data Science from Coe College, complemented by earlier education at Missouri Western State University.
