William Callaghan

William Callaghan is a software engineer who is currently employed at Georgian. William has also previously worked as the co-founder and principal software developer at DevSentient, as well as a data engineer at Borealis AI. In September 2020, they also became a founder in residence at Entrepreneur First.

Callaghan has been responsible for various aspects of software development throughout their career. At DevSentient, they were in charge of planning and designing the company's core infrastructure. William also integrated service mesh networking into their product's Kubernetes environment to improve performance and security. In addition, they optimized load times of GPU-accelerated libraries by orders of magnitude, which greatly improved the user experience.

At Entrepreneur First, Callaghan was responsible for sourcing initiatives and programs to increase company visibility. William also served as a manager for the developer hire. As a data engineer at Borealis AI, they were responsible for developing relationships with clients, maintaining customer satisfaction, and collecting user feedback for product planning and development.

William Callaghan has a Professional Masters in Machine Learning from Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, a Master of Computer Science from Université de Montréal, and a Master of Mathematics from University of Waterloo. William also has an Honors Bachelor of Science (HBSc) in Honors Specialization in Computer Science and Major in Microbiology and Immunology from Western University. William is also certified from Raw Signal Group in Raw Signal Group Management Training.

William Callaghan reports to Nahim Nasser, Head of Engineering. They work with and Mohammad Jafar Mashhadi - Machine Learning Engineer.
