Kemal Burak Yöndem

Kemal Burak Yöndem is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence, data science, and software engineering. Currently serving as Director of Engineering & AI-DataScience at Getir, starting in July 2021, Kemal oversees multiple tribes and teams focused on delivery and AI initiatives. Prior roles at Getir include Director of Engineering, where responsibilities spanned management of various engineering teams, and Senior Engineering Manager. Previously, Kemal worked at Turkcell from August 2009 to June 2021, holding positions such as Lead Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Engineer and Lead Domain Architect, where contributions included product development in natural language processing and project management. Additional experience includes software engineering roles at Nortel Networks and during military service. Kemal holds a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University and an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Sabanci University.
