Shelley Goode

Chief Development Officer at Girl Scouts of the USA

Shelley Goode joined GSUSA in 2022 as chief development officer. In this role, she draws upon her 30-plus years of experience in fundraising, marketing and communications, and nonprofit leadership to deepen GSUSA’s culture of philanthropy and strengthen the organization’s capacity to empower this generation of Girl Scouts.

Throughout her career, Shelley has served some of the world’s largest and most respected institutions—the nonprofit equivalent of Fortune 500 companies. She has promoted solutions and raised funds for issues from women’s empowerment and STEM initiatives to poverty, affordable housing, and reintegration of veterans into society. She has shaped policy and strategy at the C-suite level and worked to implement diversity- and inclusion-focused solutions, including most recently as chief development officer for the KIPP Foundation, a nonprofit network of 280 college-preparatory public charter schools. She also served as vice president of resource development for Oxfam America.
