Bing Zhou

Bing Zhou is an accomplished academic and professional specializing in geographic information science and geospatial data. Currently serving as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State University since August 2024, Bing also holds leadership positions as Co-Chair and Group Lead at GISphere and works as a Professional Photographer for Getty Images and Visual China Group. Previous experience includes roles as Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University, as well as a variety of positions at Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, including Department Director and Project Manager. Bing's educational background encompasses a PhD in GIScience from Texas A&M University, a Master's degree in Geodesy and Geoinformatics from Tongji University, and a Bachelor's degree in Geomatics from Wuhan University.
